Summarize the hydrologic cycle. How important is this cycle to Earth?

1. Hydrologic is just a science-y word for water, you know. The water cycle is basically: precipitation, run off, collection, evaporation, precipitation, etc. The water cycle is important because with out it we'd have no precipitation, or rivers, or lakes. The evaporation part of the cycle also helps to rid the water of impurities it picks up in the run off and collection phases.
